Joshua D. Wright has committed his legal career to protecting the rights of his clients.
Josh's family moved to the Wichita, Kansas area when he was in grade school. The oldest of three sons, he knew from an early age that he wanted to be a lawyer. He first entered the legal field after being selected to participate in the Wichita Bar Association’s Summer Internship Program while in high school. After high school, Josh attended Wichita State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2006.
In 2009, Josh earned his law degree at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. He knew that he wanted to return home to Wichita after graduation to assist the people of his hometown. Josh plans to use his past legal experience to help injured clients. He served for over four years as an assistant public defender in Sedgwick County assisting individuals charged with criminal offenses. He developed a reputation as a tough negotiator who is not afraid to go to court to fight for his clients. Josh has also worked for the City of Wichita as an assistant city attorney handling trials on behalf of the City in district court. Before joining DeVaughn James, he served as litigation counsel with the Kansas Corporation Commission. In Josh's legal career, he has tried cases before a judge and jury and enjoys advocating on behalf of his clients.
Josh enjoys spending time with his family, distance running, reading or watching anything relating to U.S. History, and cheering on the Shockers.
