- About Our Firm
Melissa A. Tucker Pope is passionate about being an advocate for others. She has devoted her career to being the voice for individuals that are faced with a truly unfortunate incident that has left them injured.
Prior to joining DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers, Melissa spent time assisting individuals throughout the probate process and ensuring that all their estate planning needs were met. It was through this experience that she developed her passion for helping and advocating for individuals that are facing difficult times. Melissa truly knows what it means to be on your side.
The youngest of four children, Melissa was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She received her undergraduate degree from Washburn University (B.A. 2003), where she majored in communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. Melissa’s background in television and time in front of the camera make her an excellent advocate in presenting cases before a jury.
Melissa received her Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 2012. While attending Washburn law, she was a student advocate and served as the vice president of Women’s Legal Forum. She is licensed to practice law in Kansas and the United States District Court of the District of Kansas. She is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Wichita Young Lawyers Association. She lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband and two adorable daughters. She is ready and willing to show you pictures!* Prior results in an earlier case do not guarantee or suggest a similar outcome in future matters the lawyer may undertake.
