Shawn Patrick Aldrich enjoys standing up for clients who have been hurt by others. In his free time, he enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and reading philosophy. Shawn and his wife also enjoy being active in their church, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family, friends, and their dachshund, Annie.
Shawn grew up near Haysville and attended Derby schools. He graduated from Wichita State University (WSU) in the Fall of 2013, receiving a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a dual major in Philosophy and Sociology and a minor in Political Science.
Shawn knows the value of hard work and perseverance. While attending WSU, he built control panels at a Wichita electrical company in order to pay for his education.
After graduating from WSU, Shawn continued doing electrical work until he went to the University of Kansas School of Law (KU Law). KU Law awarded Shawn the Jayhawk Scholarship each academic year, and he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in the fall of 2017. Shawn is licensed to practice law in Kansas.
After law school, Shawn knew that he wanted to come back to Wichita. He represented hospitals throughout Kansas regularly appearing in various Kansas county courts to do so. While representing hospitals and other medical providers, Shawn developed a keen understanding of the insurance and medical industries. Shawn also has a background in family law, where he experienced the importance of helping individuals through difficult times. He looks forward to using these skills to help his clients at DeVaughn James.
