With an unprecedented jury trial record and a history of multi-million dollar jury verdicts – Dustin L. DeVaughn loves trying lawsuits almost as much as he loves winning them.

Named in 2009 through 2023 as one of the "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" by the American Trial Lawyers Association and as a "Super Lawyer" since 2009 by the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers magazine, and nationally ranked Top 10 Attorney Award by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys since 2013, Mr. DeVaughn aggressively advocates his clients' interests in a timely and efficient manner. On those cases that cannot be amicably resolved, he has extensive jury trial experience having litigated over 100 jury trials throughout Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma in both federal and state courts. Mr. DeVaughn has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts including an *11 million dollar verdict in Kansas and a *12 million dollar jury verdict in the State of Oklahoma — both of which are some of the highest verdicts for personal injury cases in the states' history.

Mr. DeVaughn's practice is exclusively limited to the prosecution of personal injury and wrongful death cases where he is retained by individuals with catastrophic injuries or families who have lost a loved-one due to the negligence of others. Mr. DeVaughn's 25 years of experience in personal injury law includes being retained by Fortune 500 companies, major insurance companies and trucking companies. DeVaughn is an Oklahoma native with his legal practice based in Wichita, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1991 and his joint Juris Doctorate and Masters in Business Administration from Washburn University School of Law in 1994. He is one of the founding members of DeVaughn James, LLC. He has been named as one of Wichita's "40 Under 40" by the Wichita Business Journal and is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice; the Wichita Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyer Association.
