Joseph's Biography
Joseph Behzadi is an experienced attorney having practiced law for
over a decade. Joseph has no fear of trying cases as he has tried over 80 cases before juries, district court judges, administrative law judges, and hearing officers. Joseph’s experience began with representing individuals accused of crimes, prosecuting medical providers in medical licensure actions, defending the Kansas Department of Transportation in civil litigation matters, and prosecuting forfeiture and involuntary commitment cases as a former Shawnee County, Kansas Deputy District Attorney.
Joseph is a life-long Topekan and a graduate of Topeka West High School. Joseph enlisted in the Kansas Army National Guard during his senior year of high school and served his country during college. Joseph spent nine years at Washburn University studying and excelling in his higher education having received full academic scholarships in undergraduate school and law school. Joseph obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration graduating Summa Cum Laude, Master of Business Administration, and Juris Doctor graduating with Dean’s Honors.
Joseph spends his time away from work with his wife Rachel Lynn, daughter Alba Lynn, and fur baby Sophie. Joseph also enjoys volunteering within the community.
Joseph is licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Joseph is a former member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Kansas County & District Attorneys Association, and Kansas Intersectional Coalition. Joseph is currently a member of the Topeka Bar Association and Kansas Bar Association.
